Drawings in bold stokes

I used to shy away from pen — its boldness felt intimidating, too final. But over time, I’ve come to see it as a versatile and deeply rewarding medium.
With nothing to erase, each line becomes an act of trust.
This process has allowed me to create some of the most detailed, layered pieces I’ve ever imagined — proof that even permanence can be fluid, textured, and alive.

Materials Used

Each drawing is created using everyday tools — simple, accessible, and surprisingly powerful:

  • 0.5mm and 0.7mm black ballpoint pens

  • 0.5mm pink, purple, and brown pens

  • 0.7mm white pen for highlights and contrast

  • White-out for layering and texture

  • Pencil for initial outlines

  • 10 cm ruler for structural precision

  • Sketch pad 100 sheet acid free paper

Most of these materials were purchased from Staples, Michaels, and Amazon. Here is the link for the pens I used

These tools may be ordinary, but in the process, they’ve helped me create extraordinary detail and layered complexity.
