Poetry Reflections

  • I never thought I’d be so lucky—
to find a love so deep,
     a love so pure,
     a love that endures—
     through smoke and ash,
     through chaos and fear,
     through doubt
     and tears.

You catch me when I fall.
     Accept me,
     despite my flaws.
     Peace is my centre.
     Calm is my aura.

    I am the luckiest
     to know you.
     Mere words cannot describe.

    Goddess,
     you are light.
     You fill my heart,
hold my hands through the longest nights,
     and whisper your sacred promises.

    I am the luckiest.
     My celestial light—
     now I understand:
     our love moves
     at the speed of truth.

    You are ethereal.
     You are beauty.
     You are true.
     You are magic.

    My love for you—
     endless.

    I choose you
     today
     and forever.

    I am the luckiest
     to have found you,

  • Cheers of freedom—
     or could it be regret?

    All I see now:
     a faint fissure
     of my mistakes.

    Things I never wanted,
     erased from existence.
     Cleansing my skin
     of lies.

    The violent winds
     are behind me.
     The days
     march on.

    Only the memories
     of yesterday remain—
     a rush of thoughts
     in my head,
     of my being.

    The people in the pictures
     I barely recognize—
     empty smiles,
     envy in their eyes.

    I ripped them apart,
     saving a few pieces
     to remember, always,
     what I thought
     was true.

  • Your smile,
     the one I see.
     Your laughter piercing the air—
     I hear it so clearly.
     I feel you around me,
     near or far,
     in silence and in sound.

    Your smile,
     full of cheer and glee.
     May our freedom never flee,
     may our memories stay,
even when life leads us astray.

In the early hours of night,
when the world weighs on my shoulders,
     when all seems lost,
     your smile returns—
     your words, a gentle embrace.

    Through long talks,
we celebrate the wins and losses,
the beginning and end of love,
     the deepening of our bond.

    And when we meet,
     I feel renewed.
With a companion at my side,
     words need not be spoken
to fill the silence there is.

    It’s you,
     the one I need
     so dearly.
     Now I see it clearly—
I found a friend in you.

Our Love Moves at the Speed of Truth”

Reflection on “To My Forever”

To My Forever is a declaration of true love — to the self. It emerged after deep inner work, shadow facing, and a return to wholeness. I wrote it from a place of radical acceptance, no longer waiting to be chosen, but realizing I already belong to myself.

In a world that asks us to shrink for approval, this poem is a vow of sovereignty. The tone is soft, but the truth is bold: I will not hide to be accepted, nor silence my spirit to be heard.

The “forever” in this poem isn’t someone else. It’s the version of me who remembered who she is — the one who chose herself and came home.

“Saving a Few Pieces”

Reflection on “Frame”

Frame reflects the quiet grief of leaving behind people and versions of ourselves to heal and grow. It isn’t rooted in bitterness, but in gentle remembrance and honouring the journey that followed.

Woven into its lines is the clarity that comes with change—sometimes we outgrow what we thought would last forever. The poem doesn’t dwell in the past, but acknowledges its weight and what it took to move forward.

Through imagery of old photographs and fading memories, Frame explores the emotional distance healing can bring. It’s about choosing what to carry and what to release—a tender act of self-preservation that isn’t cruel, but necessary.

“I Found a Friend in You”

A Reflection on “Smile”

Smile is a tribute to aligned friendship—the kind that isn’t forced or performative, but rooted in ease, care, and deep understanding. It’s a reminder that life feels lighter when we’re seen and supported by those who choose to stay.

This poem was born from the realization that some connections don’t need constant words to be felt. They carry us through grief, celebrate our joy, and offer comfort in the quiet.

Smile is my thank you to those rare souls whose presence soothes, whose laughter lingers, and whose love makes the world feel a little less heavy.
