I first created this drawing in a beginner art class—originally using charcoal (yes, charcoal!). This version marks my second attempt at watercolour, and I’ve been growing and improving ever since.

I’ve always had a soft spot for ribbons. Something is mesmerizing about the way they twist and flow. My first ribbon drawing was done in coloured pencil, but this one feels especially raw and vibrant.

Fruits were the very first subjects I learned to sketch in pencil, and with this piece, I’ve taken that early beginning to another level.
